CHALLENGE: The customer had a tight timeline and a difficult design for a mooring buoy that would see seas as high as 120ft (45.7m).
APPROACH: Working with TruSTAY, WMD Squared performed the design and 3-D CAD modelling to meet ABS requirements as well as ensure that this equipment was able to be made at a local shipyard. Both TruStay and their customer had many requirements including ensuring the equipment would be theft proof.
IMPACT: TRUSTAY was able to design a buoy in a reduced amount of time and have detail design drawings available to review with the customer and for fabrication.
