SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Troy Heldenbrand is a senior mechanical design engineer at WMD Squared with over 20 years of direct experience in mechanical design and engineering analysis. In his career he has previously served roles as chief engineer and engineering manager for multiple companies in the oil equipment industry. Troy’s primary equipment design experience has included saturation diving systems, marine launch and recovery systems, process equipment, coiled tubing units, nitrogen generation units, hydraulic catwalks, and more. His engineering software analysis skillset includes AISC structural analysis using RISA 3D software, solid FEA analysis with SolidWorks Simulation, ASME pressure vessel analysis using Codeware Compress, and process system design using BR&E Promax. Most of his career he has worked for companies which manufacture and assemble the equipment he helped engineer and design. By having direct experience working hand and hand with welders/fitters and assembly mechanics it helps Troy to appreciate how engineering and design goes beyond the computer and is created in the real world. Now at WMD Squared Troy is able to leverage his years of experience to combine creativity in design with producing high quality and cost effective manufacturing packages for clients.
