Reese Comeaux, P.E.

President

Reese Comeaux has 20 years of engineering design and management experience in the oil and gas industry. Reese began his career as a design engineer developing equipment used in tubular running services, designing equipment such as power tongs and handling tools, as well as other equipment used in the industry. He then began working in roles that required more leadership responsibilities, serving in positions such as engineering team leader, engineering manager, and more recently serving in multiple director of engineering and manufacturing roles.

Reese opened his engineering firm, Reese Engineering, in 2004 after acquiring his PE license in mechanical engineering with a specialization in machine design. Reese operated this consulting firm part time and sometimes full time for 16 years until it was acquired by WMD Squared in 2020.

Reese also has experience in sheet metal design and fabrication which he used to become a founding member of Mezco Fabrication in 2006.

Reese brings a wealth of business and management experience to WMD Squared, as well as strong engineering design skills. Reese is currently listed on two awarded patents with several more in process. Reese is the proud husband and father of four wonderful children.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Louisiana State University at Shreveport
  • Professional Mechanical Engineer registered with the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board  #31342
