Bennett graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, complimented with a minor in Mathematics. This education allows him to always approach his designs with fundamental principles and solid practical knowledge in mind.
His education was further refined by his involvement with ULL’s FSAE program. During his time on the team between 2018 to 2020, he would work and eventually lead the aerodynamics, ergonomics, and brakes teams, leveraging both his formal education and personal experience in competitive motorsport to improve and validate designs. The highlight of his experiences with the team was being selected by the team to be the opening driver for the endurance event and to present aerodynamic design choices to industry experts volunteering as judges at FSAE North 2019. In addition to automotive design, Bennett has acquired practical experience with additive manufacturing, specifically PLA based FDM processes. He takes pride in having built and maintains several printers and has utilized them for several school projects during his education, including parts for a multiple faced clock, and a machine for demonstrating several kinematic principles. In support of his printing experience, Bennett is also familiar with several modeling software suites, certified specifically in SolidWorks. In his free time, Bennett enjoys sailing, motorsport, being outside, and exploring digital frontiers with his brother and father.
